These glasses are designed to enhance visible red light lasers, primarily used for alignment purposes, such as Helium Neon, Ruby and Diode lasers. Light at wavelengths below 580 nm are blocked, while the lens has excellent light transmission in the red light area, between 600 and 690 nm. As a consequence red laser light becomes highly visible.
The frame has length and angle adjustments in order to provide the best possible fit. This frame fits over smaller prescription frames, up to five inches wide. The lens is made from Polycarbonate and it is hard-coated.
