Electric Arc Face Shields: Elvex introduces face shields, specifically deigned to protect against electric arcs. Electrical workers, linesmen and electricians working with high voltage connections are sometimes exposed to the sudden release of energy that occurs during an electrical arc. This is a very dangerous condition, that can result in serious burns and death. There has long been requirements established for safety clothing to be used by these workers, but from January 1, 2003, it is required that electrical workers use face protection meeting similar requirements. Electronic Earmuffs: Elvex DeTune electronic earmuff is using a new approach, and is allowing the user to adjust the frequency range that is transmitted through the circuitry and speakers. Two control knobs allow the user to filter out the high and the low frequencies independently of each other. When the filters are in the neutral (inactive) position the user will hear the environment almost as if no hearing protector was worn, except for the maximum sound limiter. Read more .....
