Bifocal Safety Glasses  Dancing-blue.gif (1380 bytes)Dancing-blue.gif (1380 bytes)

Safety Reading Glasses, Safety Readers

Elvex innovated this product category three years ago, and we want to maintain our leadership position by adding new and contemporary designs. Also, prices have been coming down to very affordable levels. But best of all, whether you spend $10.00 or $15.00 for a pair of safety readers, you save big time as compared to paying for a pair of prescription reading glasses.

RX-100, The Original Model

Elvex now offers bifocal safety glasses in three different frame styles. Each frame style is available in five different bifocal powers, and also in clear and gray (sunglass) versions. In this way we hope to accommodate everyone's safety requirements, personal fit, as well as function, taste and preferences. All models are tested to meet ANSI Z87 (+), and the RX-100 model is CE certified and tested to EN-166.

According to the year 2000 U.S. Census there are over 70 million Americans in the age brackets 40 to 65 years of age. Most of these individuals will require reading glasses, and a large proportion of them will need reading glasses in combination with protective safety glasses. Elvex RX-models are meeting this unfulfilled need!

Distributors: How big is the market for bifocal safety glasses? About 75 million pairs of Plano (non prescription) safety glasses are sold each year in the United States alone. About 10-15% of all safety glass users require bifocal safety glasses. That translates to a market potential of 7-10 million pairs.

Industrial Users: How much money can your company save with Elvex RX-100/200/300? Prescription bifocal safety glasses cost about $150.00 per worker. Elvex RX-models cost $10.00 to $15.00 from your safety equipment distributor. That leaves a savings of $135.00 per worker. If you assume that 15% of your workers require bifocal safety glasses, you can easily calculate the savings. Example: if you have 1,000 workers about 100 will potentially be able to use RX-100, and you will save over $20,000.00.

One customer reported saving over $100,000.00 on their first purchase of less than 800 pairs of RX-100. How much can your organization save?
