155 Feature Updates in 2025, and What’s Coming in 2026

Enterprise AI adoption has been stuck at 10%, and it’s not because the models aren’t good enough. It’s because most employees don't know what's possible and don't have time to figure it out—and the AI tools they have aren’t helping them.
In 2025, we shipped a platform designed to change that. Here's what we built, organized around the four pillars that define elvex: Guide, Build, Share, and Control.
Scroll to the bottom for a preview of what we’re shipping in 2026: personal and enterprise context, power tools and code execution, task planning and sub-agent routing.

Guide: Turning Every Employee Into a Power User
The biggest barrier to AI adoption is discovery, not capability. Most employees try a few prompts, hit a wall, and go back to the old way of working.
This year, we shipped features designed to meet employees where they are and show them what's possible.
Guided Onboarding ensures new users aren't dropped into a blank screen. Our welcome experience walks them through key features from day one, so they're productive immediately rather than after a training session.
App Routing and Enterprise Search brings vector search into the core of elvex. When an employee has a question, they don't need to know which assistant to use or where to look. The platform intelligently surfaces the right assistant, the right conversation, the right resource.
App Builder 2.0 guides users through creating custom agents step by step. Not everyone is a prompt engineer, and they shouldn't have to be. Building an AI assistant is now as easy as describing what you need.
Self-Improvement Mode lets assistants suggest their own improvements. As employees use them, assistants learn what's working and propose rule changes. Full version history means editors can always revert if needed. The platform literally guides itself to get better.
Citations shipped across the platform: in conversations, in drafts, in search results. When elvex gives you an answer, you can see exactly where that information came from. Instead of black boxes, employees trust AI outputs because they can verify them.
The theme: elvex goes beyond giving your employees AI: it shows them how to use it, what to try next, and how to get better results. (This is a key area of development for 2026—scroll to the bottom to read what’s next).
Build: Removing Every Barrier to Creation
The core promise of elvex is that anyone can build AI-powered workflows without writing code. This year, we dramatically expanded what "build" means.
Build on any model you want. We shipped support for over a dozen new models this year: Claude 3.7 through Opus 4.5, GPT 4.1, o3, GPT 5, 5.1, Gemini 2.5 and 3 across the board. Different tasks need different models. Sometimes you need raw reasoning power. Sometimes you need speed and cost efficiency. Sometimes you need a model optimized for code, analysis, or creative work. With elvex, employees aren't locked into one vendor's roadmap. They pick the right tool for the job and switch as the market evolves.
Create any kind of deliverable. We launched Drafts at the start of the year: a dedicated workspace for documents, spreadsheets, and code that lives alongside your conversation. Then we added image generation with DALL-E and GPT Image 1. Then advanced charting with full ECharts support. Employees go beyond simply chatting with AI to the production of work: reports, visuals, analysis, code. All in one place, all iteratively refined with AI assistance.
Connect to any tool or data source. We added database integrations for Snowflake, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Redshift, and SQL Server. We added knowledge management with Confluence, Notion, and Coda. We even let you use any website as a live data source, crawled weekly and kept in sync. Importantly, it’s both read and write access. With Actions, employees can: update a Salesforce record, create a Jira ticket, send a Slack message. All from one interface. No more copying and pasting between ten tabs.
Automate with advanced Flows. We completely rebuilt our Flows interface. Schedule runs in advance. Add decision steps for branching logic. Include attachments. Create loops to process batches of data. Nest flows inside other flows for sophisticated multi-step automation. What used to require a developer and weeks of work can now be built by anyone in an afternoon.
The theme: we removed the barriers. Any model. Any output format. Any data source. Any level of automation complexity. If your employees can imagine it, they can build it.
Share: Making Adoption Organic, Not Mandated
The real ROI of AI comes when what works for one person works for everyone.
Here's the pattern we see: a power user builds something incredible. An assistant that saves them hours a week. A workflow that automates a painful process. And then it stays with them. Maybe they mention it in a meeting. Maybe they don't. Either way, the value stays locked in one person's account.
This year, we made sharing so easy that knowledge spreads organically.
Groups let you organize users by team, department, project, or role, and share resources to the entire group at once. When you build a great assistant, you don't share it to 47 individuals one by one. You share it to "Sales Team" and everyone's enabled instantly. Groups turn sharing from a chore into a one-click action.
Tags make shared resources discoverable. Tag an assistant as "Sales" and "Competitive Intel" and "EMEA," and anyone searching for those terms discovers it immediately. Discoverability is half the battle.
Conversation and Assistant Sharing lets teams build on each other's work. Had a great back-and-forth that solved a tricky problem? Share it with your team. They can clone it and continue from there. When you share any resource, the recipient gets an email notification automatically.
Mobile and Voice make elvex accessible wherever work happens. On the commute. Between meetings. Walking the warehouse floor. The AI your team built is now available anywhere.
Slack and Microsoft Teams are the tools employees already live in. We added support for multiple Slack workspaces and shared channels. We built channel-specific assistant configuration, so different assistants can serve different teams automatically. And Microsoft Teams support means you can meet employees in whichever tool they prefer.
The theme: AI adoption shouldn't be mandated from the top down. It should spread organically from the bottom up. When sharing is effortless, the best workflows win.
Control: Making IT the Enabler, Not the Blocker
None of this matters if IT can't say yes.
Every enterprise we talk to has the same fear: "If we open this up, we lose control." Rogue AI usage. Data leakage. Exploding costs. Security vulnerabilities. Compliance failures. These are the reasons AI stalls, not hypothetical concerns.
This year, we invested heavily in making elvex the platform IT can confidently approve.
Analytics give leadership real visibility into AI adoption. Which users are active, which assistants are driving value, which conversations are happening. See what's working, identify what's not, and make data-driven decisions about where to invest next.
Custom Roles let you define exactly what each role can do, aligned to your specific org structure and compliance requirements. We added a new Member role that lets more employees build and create while reserving sharing permissions for admins. For enterprises on SSO, we now support SAML attribute-based provisioning. Roles and groups are assigned automatically based on your identity provider.
Security and Performance improvements include patched vulnerabilities, optimized authentication token handling, improved connection reliability, and enterprise-grade features like Snowflake key pair authentication. Enhanced audit logs with better structure and detail. SOC 2 Type 2. HIPAA certified. Data encrypted and never used for model training.
Integration Actions Controls add guardrails for when AI writes back to your systems. Flow dependency warnings prevent accidentally breaking automations. Channel-specific controls for Slack let you decide exactly which assistants respond where. Power with precision.
Token Counting and Cost Visibility ensure no surprises on the invoice. We improved token counting accuracy across providers and added context warnings that alert users when conversations are getting too long and might affect cost or performance.
The bottom line: elvex is a platform your employees and your IT can love. Governance is built into every layer, not as an afterthought, but as a core design principle.
What's Coming in 2026
We're not slowing down.
Power Tools moves AI from "giving you instructions" to "doing the work." Instead of explaining how to analyze a spreadsheet or convert a file, the AI writes and runs the actual code behind the scenes, then hands you the finished result in seconds. Create Word docs, PowerPoint decks, and PDFs with professional styling. Analyze messy data, build dashboards, and iterate with natural language. Ask in plain English, and the AI handles the rest.
Context, Planning, and Sub-Agents represent a major upgrade to the elvex Home App. Now it can plan out complex tasks using multiple steps and delegate work to sub-agents. We're introducing context about your role, the groups you belong to, the projects and company you work for. Through our supported integrations, we'll quickly build up context about you and how you work. The Home App operates with full knowledge of your context, and the AI assistants, flows, and data marked public in your company workspace, bringing you to exactly the right workflow for exactly the problem you're having.
This is not a black box. We show you what we're building, and more importantly, give you the control to make changes.
The takeaway: previously, power users could do incredible things with AI while many people wouldn't know where to start. Now, all users can act like power users, with intelligent AI showing them how.
